The area has mainly Thirties houses built after the arrival of the Tube and the opening of the North Circular Road in the same year. These homes come in all shapes and sizes, from grand detached mansions to mock Tudor semi-detached and modest terraces. Arnos grove has its own London Underground Station on the Piccadilly line and you can catch a direct train to Euston Station form New Southgate Station.

Arnos Park covers and area of 44 acres and hosts a range of family friendly facilities including a children’s playground, tennis courts and a putting green. There are three council-owned swimming pools; the Arnos Pool on Bowes Road, the Southgate Leisure Centre in Winchmore Hill Road, the Church Farm Swimming Pool on Church Hill Road. Private gym PureGym, also in Winchmore Hill Road, has a swimming pool too.

On the high street you will find a Sainsbury local and plenty of family run boutiques, opticians and lock smiths.
The closest shopping malls to Arnos Grove are The Spires Shopping Centre & Palace Gardens Shopping Centre. Both shopping centres feature shops such as Marks & Spencer’s, Next, H & M and many more.
Restaurants in Arnos Grove
There are plenty of family run cafe’s and restaurants on the high street providing the locals with food from all over the world. There is a Harvester where you can enjoy your Sunday roast and a glass of wine.
A short 10 minute drive and you are in Muswell Hill where you can find a number of bars and restaurants including the famous Ally Pally, a historic entertainment venue in Alexandra Park, London.
